Class 3 Final Blog of 2014

19/12/14 – Class 3 Blog

This is our last blog of 2014. We have decided to do a ‘round up’ of our highlights in 2014.
It is clear to us that we do learn a lot in school, but once you sit down and take a look back it just shows us how much we really have been doing in 2014. Therefore we have listed the best of the best in each subject!
Maths – some of us have really enjoyed problem solving and looking at the Bus Stop Method. We also enjoyed time plans.

ICT – PowerPoints and animation was brilliant.

PE – Has to be athletics, we had a fabulous sports day! We have also loved the gymnastics which has been this term. Swimming has been memorable too, looking at personal survival.
English – Reading Tom Gates – Fantastic at everything mostly!

RE – Harvest and Christmas stories

Art – Painting insects

Science –We looked at habitats and made houses from paper, plastic bags and tape. This was great fun. These houses were tested with Angus the dog inside. Some lasted the hairdryer test, others did not.

French – It was great to visit Tesco’s and looking at French foods. In crafts we looked at a typical French Christmas. We enjoyed making paper shoes which is a tradition. They fill the shoes with sweets at Christmas time.

We have had a great year. The elves have even been into school which was great fun and created lots of laughs in school.

We look forward to another great year at St Marks.
